We’re pleased to announce that AST Bearings’ Jeff Fergus has been officially named a Certified Bearing Specialist by the Bearing Specialist Association (BSA)!

Certified Bearing Specialists are vetted to have the highest levels of knowledge in the selection, application, and analysis of bearings. Jeff mastered a comprehensive examination that tested and rated his proficiency in the critical skills and knowledge for successful execution of the role of bearing specialist.

BSA skill sets performed by bearing specialists and tested in the examination include selling bearings, seals, and accessories over-the-counter; explaining product lines; diagnosing problems with installed components; preparing quotes or contracts; recommending interchanges and substitutions; and providing technical services and customer support.
